Does your family struggle to think of what to buy you for your birthday or special occasions? Do you have a wish list as long as your arm like I do? If you have a birthday coming up and would like to receive some of you most wanted items from the wonderful new Catalogue why not get them to buy you a Gift Certificate for Stampin' Up! products.
Have your family contact me and I will arrange to have a Gift Certificate to be sent out. Then all you have to do is sit down, relax and decide which products you want to get first.

Craft Sale

I just got back from the Craft Sale and it was a great day. It was so good to see some familiar faces and meet some new people. There were some great bargains and I saw a lot of happy faces leaving the venue.
I still have some goodies left to sell so if you couldn't make it today, there is one more opportunity to grab a bargain. Amongst all the goodies are retired Stampin' Up sets, Hero Arts stamps and others, stickers, chip board and many many embellishments. There is bound to be something for everyone.
I am hosting a Biggest Morning Tea on Thursday from 10.00am - 1.00pm. Not only do you get to support this wonderful charity but also the Westmead Childrens Hospital. For a $2 donation you can make a card that we will donate to the hospital for the staff and children to use.
So you get an outing, a cuppa, a chat, some nibbles and you get to do some craft!!!!!! What a great day.
My address is 15 Daphne Ave, Castle Hill. I hope you can make it and please feel free to bring a friend.

Three Little Words

This is another card made using the Echoes Of Kindness Hostess set and the fabulous new Three Little Words Set (page 114).

It is a great simple card (I love simple) using Basic Black and Whisper White. I stamped the flower image twice and punched out a section using the 1 1/4" circle punch. I then used the 1 3/8" circle punch for the black circle.

These were then mounted to create a "Spotlight" effect over the main image.

A Lovely Hostess

This is a card I made for the new Catalogue launch. I fell in love with this set as soon as I saw it. It is a Level 2 Hostess set called Echoes Of Kindness. It has 3 different flowers and some lovely words.

I have used Chocolate Chip for the main card with Riding Hood Red and Whisper White. The ribbon is Chocolate Chip Taffeta.

The image is coloured using the blender pens and Riding Hood Red and Old Olive inks. The edges of the Riding Hood Red and Whisper White card have been sponged using the daubers in Riding Hood Red.

Mothers Day

Hopefully all you Mums are having a wonderful day being spoilt by your families. I am hoping for breakfast in bed before watching my daughter play soccer and visiting family. On Friday night I did a Mother/Daughter night at my good friend Noreen's daughters Girl Guides. We had about 40 mothers and daughters and everyone got to make at least one Mothers Day cards.

This is one of the cards that the mothers got to make.

I tried to keep it fairly simple. The main card is Whisper White with a Real Red panel which was stamped with Real Red using the Fifth Avenue Floral set, (my current fav as I mentioned earlier). The centre main rose is raised with Dimensionals. The words are from Occasional Greetings and punched with the large oval.

Waterfalls Of Different Kinds

The project for this weeks class was a Waterfall Card. I have seen many of these done and have always wanted to make one. For some reason I was a little hesitant to give it a go but as everyone discovered they are not that difficult but have a great WOW factor.

This one is done with my new favourite of the moment Fifth Avenue Floral (page 82). I think you will see a lot of this set.
The colours are Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.

While on our cruise we stopped at Vila. We were told about a Waterfall that was a must to visit. It was absolutely beautiful. We took the walk up which started out very relaxing, surrounded by tropical gardens but towards the top the climb got a little scary stepping over rushing water holding onto a rope fence but well worth it. This is a photo that my daughter took.

An Exciting New Find

I have to mention a great discovery I made a few weeks ago. It is a company called Tall Jeans. I am not what I would call ovely tall at 5ft 10" in the old form but I have never owned a pair of jeans or pants that have been long enough. Well my problem has been solved!!! I can now buy jeans that I have to take to the tailor to have taken up. It was my absolute pleasure to walk into the tailors last week and ask for my new purchases to be taken up. He looked at me and actually said that I had must have meant taken down. I was so excited to say no, I meant up. That was a life first and a memorable moment. Anyone who is tall will understand my sheer joy. If you read this and know anyone who is tall and has the same problem, put them onto this site. They are locate in Pennant Hills and jeans can be purchased online. The other benefit is once you know your size you can order any style.

A Great Holiday

It has been so long since my last post I can't believe how fast the time has gone. So much has happened I don't know where to start.

Our cruise was fantastic. We were all so excited and leaving our beautiful harbour on a cruise liner was awesome. We all had a wonderful time. The kids made friends and were always so busy we hardly saw them. We got to relax and enjoy the activities on offer.

Our favourite island was Pentacost. This is were the locals use vines and bungy jump from a tower which would fail so many OH&S & WorkCover laws its not funny. This is a right of passage into manhood ritual that is only done in April so we were lucky to book the right cruise. It was both sickening and amazing to watch.
Each platform gives away after the jump and the jumper actually hits the ground in a form of a belly flop. It was amazing that no one was hurt and I struggled to figure out why they thought to do this in the first place.
I would recommend a cruise as a total holiday. There is nothing to do but relax and enjoy all the food, activities and of course the wonderful cocktails on offer.
