Stamp Camp "Stamp Fairy" Gifts

One more post for the night and then it is off to bed for me!

The "Stamp Fairy" likes to visit everyone at Stamp Camp regularly when they aren't looking and reward them with a little token of appreciation for coming along.  I think the Stamp Fairy must have a bit of a sweet tooth as a lot of goodies involved some form of chocolate -- which is always welcome isn't it??????

The booty included:

a covered tissue box on the bed as a Welcome
A little "Dress" box with a chocolate
A name card holder with you guessed it a covered chocolate bar
A monogrammed note pad
Some chocolate chip cookies
A cup and coaster
A wooden spoon set in chocolate to make a hot chocolate with ( I know more...)
A nail file
A cute little bag of M&M's  (well at least it was only a little bag!)

Now if only I could find a "Cleaning Fairy" life would be sweet!

Up to Date

Well that wasn't too difficult - I am now up to date!  I am actually sitting down with my hubby and my lovely little niece and nephew and this is the difficult part - watching the Friday night football.  Get out the thermometer, I must be sick.  There has to be better things to do with a Friday night!

Anyway here are this weeks cards we made.

This was a quick simple Fathers Day or Birthday card using the Six Sided Sampler set mixed with Gorgeous Grunge that is going to be very popular I am sure.  I was devastated when French Foliage went but Gorgeous Grunge is a pretty good substitute.  We used the co-ordinating Hexagon punch - just love it when there is a matching punch.  The words are from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  The colours are Basic Black, Whisper White with a splash of Island Indigo.

I finally got around to experiment with colouring the Crepe Filter Paper!  The flower petals were cut from the Floral Frames Dies and coloured with Rasberry Ripple and Primrose Petal.  We stappled the layers together, scrunched them to make them look like a flower and added a large pearl.  The leaves are the large Oval Punch trimmed on one end to make a point and coloured with Old Olive.

The card is Shimmer White and the script is from the gorgeous Background Builders stamp set.  When I first saw this set in the Catalogue I thought they were the builder wheels and was sooooo pleased when I realised it was a stamp set as they are so much easier to use.  I think this set will be another one of my new favourites.

There were a few steps to this card.  We used the script stamp from Background builders and then the splotches from Gorgeous Grunge to create the background in Crumb Cake, Primrose Petal and Pear Pizzaz.

We ran a strip of Primrose Petals CoreDinations cardstock through the Honeycomb Embossing folder and then given a light sand.  The new Deco Labels Collection labels are in Pear Pizzaz and Very Vanilla.  The My Friend words are from Six Sided Sampler and the flowers are made with the 7/8 inch scallop circle punch and the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Bunch.  The leaves are from the Bird Builder punch and with a bit of bling added here and there I think it makes a lovely girly card.

Stationery Kit

We made this gorgeous Stationery Kit just after Stamp Camp.  It holds 4 cards and matching envelopes and is another great little gift for those difficult to buy for people. Who doesn't need a lovely card for a special occasion.

The papers are from the Quarterfancy Specialty DSP pack.  The stamps are from the new Mosaic Madness set and we used various word stamps to fit different occasions.  The flower on the front is the Scalloped Circle punch layered with a brad from the Antique Brads.

A Little Sampler of Stamp Camp Projects

I held my second Addicted Stampers Stamp Camp in July and it was such a fun weekend I can't wait for the next one.  Hang on did I say that!  If you missed out this year get your diaries out and book in for next year.  Block out the weekend of 29th - 31st August and tell the family you are taking some time out for you.

The photos below are just a few of the projects we made over the weekend. There were many funny stories from the weekend but the rule is "What happens at Stamp Camp, stays at Stamp Camp".  So if you want to join in make sure you save the date.

A great way to present a block of chocolate as a gift for a teacher, or for the hostess of a dinner or anyone who loves chocolate.  I can't believe that I only had to buy one block and it managed to make it all the way to Camp and actually made it home again, uneaten!  Believe me for a block of choccy to last more than a day in my house is unheard of.

Heart shaped gift box with tags.  Great gift or use the tags and keep the box to decorate your desk with some post it notes.

A cute little picnic basket.  Fill it with matching gift cards and another great little gift for someone special.

This was a little tricky to photograph but it is a lovely little Clam Shell box.  They make great small gift boxes and can be decorated for any occasion.

There were many other goodies that we made but sorry, you had to be there.  Hope to see you at the next one!!!

It has been so long

I cannot believe that I haven't posted since MAY! Where has that time gone!!  I feel bad but when life gets too hectic something has to give and for me it was my blog postings.  So much happened at once with the retirement lists, then the new catalogue and then I had my second Stamp Camp to get ready for in July.  Not to mention all the other normal day to day things.

I had been keeping all of the class projects aside with every intention of posting them but to be honest there are just too many so I have made the call to skip them and start again.  That was quite liberating.

Regarding Dahlias was one of the first stamp sets that caught my eye in the new Catalogue.  It looks awesome in colour but also striking in black and vanilla. I am also loving all of the papers from the Modern Medley pack.  I have added some Crochet Trim ribbon and a bit of paper piercing around the vanilla oval and it was a quick card.

This was another quick card using the Mosaic punch and some of the Soho Subway pack.  I used the Naturals White and Early Espresso cardstock.  The words are from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.  They are layered with the Word Window Punch and the Modern Label Punch.  The little brad on the centre Mosaic is from the Vintage Trinkets.
